The APIAC-HKAC with the Hong Kong International Commerce Association Signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On September 14th,2024, the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber Hong Kong Arbitration Center (APIAC-HKAC) with the Hong Kong International Commerce Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The APIAC-HKAC and the Hong Kong International Commerce Association have conducted many discussions on how enterprises can use international arbitration to resolve disputes, the trends of international arbitration, and the opportunities for Chinese lawyers in the development of international arbitration business. And we reached a broad consensus on deepening the overseas business and arbitration services of members of the Hong Kong International Commerce Association and green partners with APIAC-HKAC.

Shi Feng, Executive Director of the Hong Kong International Commerce Association, said: "Today's signing of the contract will give our law firm partners a chance to learn and participate in the whole process of commercial arbitration under various international legal systems, and will also help our member companies establish awareness of international law with the help of the professional international system of the APIAC. We hope that APIAC will be introduced to Anhui province to better protect sea-going enterprise. " Cao Jianxiong, Assistant to the President of the APIAC and Vice Chairman of the APlAC-HKAC, said: "APIAC will strive to promote the digital and intelligent arbitration services, use the latest scientific and technological methods to improve arbitration efficiency, reduce arbitration costs, and provide more convenient services for enterprises. We will cooperate with the Hong Kong International Commerce Association to jointly promote the innovation and development of arbitration services and provide strong support for the competitiveness of enterprises in the international market. This cooperation marks an important step in promoting international arbitration services.”

In addition, we plan to carry out a series of training and seminars in the future, aimed at improving the understanding and application abilities of enterprises and lawyers on international arbitration. These activities will cover the latest trends of international arbitration, case analysis, practical operation and other aspects, and provide a comprehensive learning and communication platform for enterprises and lawyers.

The signing of the contract marks a new step in the cooperation between the APIAC-HKAC and the Hong Kong International Commerce Association. We would take this cooperation as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation, jointly promote the development of international arbitration services, provide better legal services for enterprises and help them develop in the international market.
