Southwest University of Political Science and Law and Sichuan International Studies University Professors Visit APIAC Southwest Service Center (Chongqing)

On the afternoon of June 26, 2024, Asad Khalil, Distinguished Professor of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Rami Khalil, Professor of Sichuan International Studies University, and Rasha Khalil, professor of Sichuan International Studies University, paid an exchange visit to the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber Southwest Service Center (Chongqing). They were warmly received by Mr. Yin Guanjun, an arbitrator and member of the Arbitrator Selection Committee of APIAC, along with the team from the APIAC Southwest Service Center(Chongqing).

Before the meeting, the APIAC team guided the visiting professors through the exhibition hall of the Southwest Service Center(Chongqing). They introduced the development history, organizational structure, service philosophy, and functions of the APIAC’s various arbitration and service centers.

During the discussions, Mr. Yin Guanjun extended a warm welcome to Professors Asad Khalil, Rami Khalil, and Rasha Khalil on behalf of the APIAC Southwest Service Center(Chongqing). Both sides engaged in a productive exchange on the future prospects of international arbitration and other pertinent issues. They also explored potential future collaborations in academic research.

The visiting professors expressed their appreciation for the mission and values of the APIAC. Professor Asad Khalil highlighted the significant role that the establishment of APIAC plays in the advancement of international arbitration. He expressed hope that through co-organizing events, parties could enhance academic exchanges and further the development of international arbitration. Moving forward, the APIAC Southwest Service Center(Chongqing) will continue to deepen its collaboration with universities and professional organizations, aiming to establish a platform that is equal, open, inclusive, and innovative for both practical and theoretical development.
