Visit of Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber Delegation to Commercial Section of the Mission of the People's Republic of China to ASEAN

On the morning of March 6, 2024, Mr. Qiu Yu, Director of the International Exchange Center of the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber (APIAC), accompanied by Mr. Yin Guanjun, an international arbitration expert, paid a visit to the Commercial Section of the Mission of the People's Republic of China to ASEAN located in Jakarta, Indonesia. They were warmly received by Mr. Wang Daohao, Counsellor of the Mission, and staff of the Commercial Section.

 

During the meeting, both parties engaged in thorough discussions. Director Qiu introduced to Counsellor Wang and the staff of the Commercial Section that following the establishment of the APIAC in Singapore in 2023, its Indonesian branch in Jakarta had officially commenced operations in March 2024. APIAC is committed to providing high-quality international arbitration services to numerous international enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region, including Chinese enterprises. Mr. Yin Guanjun emphasized APIAC's focus on various contract disputes arising from economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN, intellectual property rights, cross-border e-commerce, and new energy industries. APIAC aims to provide legal arbitration services to enterprises along the “Belt and Road”, meeting the urgent needs of Chinese enterprises going global to resolve international disputes and facilitate business development. Counsellor Wang Daohao briefed the delegation on the relevant situation of the Commercial Section of the Mission of China to ASEAN, congratulating and welcoming the establishment of APIAC in Singapore and its branches in ASEAN countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia. He also expressed expectations for APIAC to provide even higher-quality international arbitration legal services to Chinese enterprises going global in ASEAN in the future.
