On April 9, 2024, Mr. Gu Tao, Director of the Economic Bureau of the Tianfu New Area in Sichuan, accompanied Director Song Liang and his delegation from the Shenzhen Qianhai Authority on a visit to the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber Southwest Service Center (Sichuan).

Ms. Cai Yue, Deputy Director of the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber Southwest Service Center (Sichuan), provided a detailed introduction to the history and development of the Chamber since its establishment, highlighting its significant achievements in rule innovation, talent cultivation, and international cooperation. Currently, the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber has branches or service centers in Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, mainland China, and Hong Kong, aiming to establish a comprehensive international arbitration service system across Pacific Rim countries and regions.

Accompanied by Ms. Cai Yue, Director Song Liang and the delegation from the Shenzhen Qianhai Authority and the Tianfu New Area Economic Bureau visited the office space and facilities of the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber Southwest Service Center (Sichuan) and were briefed on the chamber's "online + offline" remote arbitration service system.

During the exchange and visit, discussions were held on the development status and characteristics of international arbitration services in the Southwest and South China regions. Director Song Liang believes that advancing the construction of socialist rule of law demonstration zones with Chinese characteristics and establishing international economic centers and centers for resolving international commercial disputes require the promotion of international arbitration. The landing and operation of the international arbitration chamber in China will inject new impetus into China's economic development. Director Gu Tao believes that the Tianfu Central Legal Service District is committed to building a first-class legal service highland, focusing on the four major industries of notarization, lawyers, arbitration, and judicial appraisal, and constructing an integrated area for legal innovation. The efficient and professional international arbitration services concept and system of the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber are highly compatible with the current trend of open economic development in the new area. In the next step, both parties will further exchange and cooperate to empower the growth of foreign trade and economic enterprises in the new area with high-quality diversified legal services.

The Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber Southwest Service Center (Sichuan) will strive to provide high-standard, stringent, and high-quality international arbitration services to the Tianfu Central Legal Service District in Sichuan, both in "bringing in" and "going out" efforts, to meet the urgent demand for resolving international disputes arising from cross-border trade or investment and become the preferred legal service chamber for domestic and foreign enterprises.
