On October 10, 2024, representatives from the Korea Fair Trade Mediation Agency (“Kofair”), investigators Ms. Seok Kyun Bang, Mr. Seung Mi Han, Ms. Yi Song, and Mr. Young Seok Song visited the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber (Singapore) (“APIAC Singapore”). Mr. Cao Jianxiong, Vice Chairman of the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber Hong Kong Arbithation Center (“APIAC-HKAC”), Ms. Shao Zhuoying, Chief representative of APIAC Singapore introduced the global layout of APIAC and highlighted the unique advantages of international arbitration in resolving cross-border commercial disputes. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on fair trade, cross-border commercial dispute mediation, and promoting fair competition among businesses. The Kofair shared its expertise in handling unfair trade disputes and fostering fair market competition. Both sides expressed their intent to strengthen cooperation in areas such as cross-border dispute resolution, corporate compliance, and mediation, with the aim of advancing international commercial dispute resolution mechanisms.
