Zhong Lun W&D Law Firm Team Visits APIAC Southwest Service Center (Chongqing)

On August 29, 2024, Mr. Li Zhengming, Executive Committee Member and Managing Partner of Zhong Lun W&D Law Firm; Mr. Huang Shuqiu, Deputy Director and Senior Partner; and Ms. Jia Yuqin, Senior Partner, visited the Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber (APIAC) Southwest Service Center (Chongqing), where they were warmly welcomed by Ms. Wan Shiqi, Chief Representative of the APIAC Legal Service Center for Global Taiwan-Invested Enterprises Integrated with RCEP Affairs; and Ms. Zhang Yifan, Chief Representative of APIAC Southwest Service Center (Chongqing).

First of all, Mr. Li Zhengming and his team visited the exhibition hall of APIAC Southwest Service Center (Chongqing), where they gained a comprehensive understanding of APIAC's establishment background, organizational structure and recent developments. Afterwards, the parties moved to the conference room to have an in-depth discussion on the legal risks of enterprises going overseas and the selection of arbitration institutions.

Drawing on his rich practice background, years of working overseas and forward-looking industry insight, Mr. Li Zhenming shared insights on the legal risks faced by Chinese enterprises in the process of “going global", the selection and application of arbitration resolution mechanisms, and how to enhance the effectiveness of international arbitration services, and other key issues. Ms. Wan Shiqi responded positively and shared APIAC's initiatives in optimizing arbitration procedures, expanding multilingual services and promoting online arbitration. Both parties indicated that they would take this visit as an opportunity to further deepen their communication, and provide more professional, efficient and comprehensive legal support and protection advice for Chinese enterprises going overseas.

As Chinese enterprises accelerate their internationalization, the market for foreign-related legal services has shown unprecedented potential.
