Official Launch of Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber (Indonesia)

On the morning of April 24, 2024, Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber (Indonesia) grandly opened. The opening ceremony was held at 10 a.m. local time in Jakarta at the Beltway Office. The event was attended and witnessed by arbitration experts, scholars, lawyers, and corporate representatives such as Mr. Ma Zhanjun, President of Asia Pacific International Arbitration Chamber (“APIAC”), Lawyer Joshua Jordan Bachtra, Lawyer Adam Satria, Ms. Luo Yuanyuan from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Mr. Michael Angelo R. Hanakin, Mr. Dino Rari Purantara Aldakan, and Mr. Xiang Yazhou.

During the opening ceremony, President Ma Zhanjun pointed out in his speech that the establishment of APIAC(Indonesia) is a significant strategic move for APIAC, symbolizing the expansion and extension of the APIAC's international arbitration business scope. APIAC(Indonesia) will focus on resolving international commercial trade and investment disputes in Indonesia, providing parties with professional, efficient, and convenient arbitration services, and is committed to providing legal protection for the economic development of Indonesia.

At 10:08 a.m., APIAC(Indonesia) was officially unveiled and completed under the joint witness of all leaders and guests.

After the successful completion of the opening ceremony, President Ma Zhanjun presided over a themed meeting on "International Commercial Arbitration". He stated that the APIAC will use APIAC(Indonesia) as an important fulcrum to provide comprehensive, high-level legal services and support for local and international enterprises in Indonesia. At the same time, APIAC(Indonesia) can provide an open, inclusive, and interconnected platform for legal practitioners in Indonesia and even Southeast Asia, encouraging and supporting international arbitration lawyers, expert scholars, and other legal practitioners to engage in in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as cross-border dispute resolution and the development of international arbitration.

The successful holding of this opening ceremony is a beginning of a new journey for APIAC.
